New Applicants
- Complete an Admission Application
Make sure to submit American College Test (ACT) or the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) scores to the Admissions Office at ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø State. The ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø State ACT code number is 0496 and the CSS code number is 4001. - Obtain a copy of your most recent college or high school transcript, and attach it to the Scholarship Application.
- Complete & submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by March 1. Make certain that ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø title IV code 001345 is indicated in step 6 of the FAFSA.
All applications must be received in the ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø Financial Aid Office no later than March 1 of the year for which the application is being made.
Porter Scholarship Renewals
Each academic year, Porter Scholars in Good Standing must
- Maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 and a minimum grade point average of 3.0 in science and mathematics courses required in the major.
- Demonstrate involvement in activities related to the major and be making adequate progress in a science or mathematics degree program.
Renewal applications will be evaluated competitively with both new and renewal applications. - Complete and submit Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) Deadline: March 1. Make certain that ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø Title IV code 001345 is indicated in step 6 of the FAFSA.
- Apply for the Porter Scholarship using .
- Attach a student copy of your ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø transcript to the ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø State Scholarship Application form.
- Attach a listing of activities that demonstrate involvement in activities related to the major to the ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø State Scholarship Application form. For example, club membership, tutoring, lab assistant, Science Fair judging, independent projects, etc.
- Submit the completed application by March 1 of the year for which the renewal application is made.
All applications must be received in the ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø Financial Aid Office no later that March 1 of the year for which the application is being made.
