Martinez brought home 23 awards from the state competition.
³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø Phi Beta Lambda members competed in the State Leadership Conference last weekend in Denver. Chapter members were awarded a total of 23 awards in objective test and live events. Seven members qualified to compete at the National Leadership Conference in Maryland this June. The ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø State chapter received the Colorado Outstanding Chapter award and Marisa Morado was awarded the Who’s Who in PBL.
Awards at State Leadership Conference included Tayleur Hillis: first in Client Services, second in Accounting for Professionals and second in Contemporary Sports Issues; Kalisha Johnson: third in Help Desk; Alysia Martinez: first in Business Law and third in Personal Finance; Marisa Morado: third in Management Concepts and third in Retail Management; Janet Najar: third in Public Speaking and Business Ethics; Araceli Portillo: first in Financial Concepts and second in Personal Finance; Heather Shoats: second in Help Desk, second in Public Speaking, and third place in Organizational Behavior Leadership; Abbey Stagner: first in Entrepreneurship Concepts; Johnson and Stagner: third in Decision Making; Portillo and Morado: first in Emerging Business Issues.
The following students will compete at the national level: Hillis in Client Services & Contemporary Sports Issues; Martinez in Business Law and Personal Finance; Morado, in Retail Management; and as a team with Najar and Portillo in Business Ethics; Portillo in Financial Concepts; Shoats in Organizational Behavior/Leadership and Public Speaking; and Stagner in Entrepreneurship Concepts and Personal Finance.
