The fourth annual ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø State Gives Day will inspire and entertain as alumni and friends pledge financial support and give back to the University. The 90-minute talent show begins at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16. There are two ways to enjoy this year’s event – live, in-person audience or livestream.
Back by popular demand, alumnus Freddie Jaquez will bring the audience to their feet with his traditional cumbia music. ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø State School of Visual and Performing Arts Director John Taylor, Ph.D. and Alamosa Mayor Ty Coleman will co-host the fast-paced evening of fun and celebration. The show features a range of talent including ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø State music ensembles; dance by Semillas de la Tierra, and dramatic interpretive readings created from actual letters from the very first ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø State freshman class by gifted theatre majors. A special recognition of the 2022 ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø State Women’s Cross Country Division II National Champions and Wrestling Individual National Champions will round out the on-stage, live event.
³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø will staff a live telephone bank to accept pledges made during the talent show.
