Share locally grown, non-hybrid seed with your community at the Community Seed Exchange from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 27, in the ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø Nielsen Library.
This is an opportunity to promote the growth and abundance of SLV-hardy plants. Meet your local gardeners; obtain seeds for spring planting; and share what you have with others. There will be some educational displays and demonstrations.
The book, The Seed Garden: The Art and Practice of Seed Saving, will be given away as a door prize. You must be present to win.
This annual event is co-sponsored by Valley Educational Gardens Initiative (VEGI), Alamosa Community Greenhouse, and Seed to Seed Library at ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø State Nielsen Library.
Registration is not necessary. For more information please contact Mary Walsh, Nielsen Library cataloging and acquisition librarian, at 719-587-7174 or mwalsh@adams.edu.
