For over half the students attending ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø who are Pell Grant eligible, the cost of attending college just became a little easier. The U.S. Department of Education announced an increase in the Federal Pell Grant for the 2018-19 academic year from $5,920 to $6,095. The increase was part of the recently passed Omnibus Spending Bill which included the provision for the increased Pell Grant funding.
That means for students currently receiving $5,920 in Pell Grant funds they will receive $6,095 for the 2018/2019 academic year. Pell Grants do not have to be paid back.

³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø from the San Luis Valley region may be eligible for the SLV Promise Scholarship, as well. Combined with federal and state sources, ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø State’s SLV Promise Scholarship can cover the entire cost of tuition and fees with a $1,000 book waiver.
³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø State is currently enrolling students for summer sessions and for the fall 2018-19 academic school year. ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø can enroll in courses online or take courses on campus.
