Duane Zanotelli ’72 ’73 returned to his alma mater as a saxophone guest clinician for the ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø State Top of the Nation Honor Band. A retired high school teacher Zanotelli also presented a talk on the music profession. "³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø State is a very congenial school and the professors take the time to work with students individually. The students here receive better training in all areas. Once you graduate, no one cares what school you went to or what directors you studied with, or what music you played, they want to know if you learned anything."
The Top of the Nation Honor Band attracted over 150 high school instrumentalists from Colorado and Texas.
