All Pre-Requisite Courses Must Be Completed Before Entering the Nursing Program Minimum grade of C or getter is required for all courses.

First Year Seminar – 3 credit hours

  • FYS 101 – First Year Seminar (3 credits)

Communications – 6 credit hours

  • ENG 101- Communications Arts I (GT-CO1) (3 credits)
  • ENG 102- Communications Arts II (GT-CO2) (3 credits)

Social and Behavioral Sciences – 9 credit hours

  • PSYC 101- Introduction to Psychology (GT-SS3) (3 credits)
  • PSYC 233- Lifespan Development for Nurses (3 credits)
  • SOC 201 The Sociological Imagination (GT-SS3) (3 credits)

Complete 1 of the following History Courses (GT-HI1) – 3 credit hours

  • HGP 110 – World History and Culture I (GT-HI1) (3 credits) OR
  • HGP 111 – World History and Culture II (GT-HI1) (3 credits) OR
  • HIST 202 – American History to 1865 (GT-HI1) (3 credits) OR
  • HIST 203 – American History to Present (GT-HI1) (3 credits)

Complete 1 of the following Arts and Humanities Courses (GT-AH1, GT-AH2, or GT-AH3) – 3 credit hours

  • ART 101 Art and Creativity (GT-AH1) (3 credits)
  • ART 103 Art Appreciation (GT-AH1) (3 credits)
  • ENG 203 Major Themes in Literature (GT-AH2) (3 credits)
  • MUS 100 Introduction to Music Literature (GT-AH1) (3 credits)
  • THTR 180 Introduction to Theatre (GT-AH1) (3 credits)
  • PHIL 201 Introduction to Philosophy (GT-AH3) (3 credits)
  • PHIL 205 Logic (3 Credits)
  • COM 255 Fundamentals of Media Communication (GT-AH2) (3 credits)

Complete the Following Statistics Course

  • PSYC 211 Intro to Statistics (with Lab) (4 credits) – Required

Complete 1 of the following Mathematics Courses (GT-MA1)

  • MATH 110 Introduction to Statistics (GT-MA1) (3 credits)
