Program Goal One

³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø will know the major concepts, perspectives, historical trends, empirical findings, and research methods and ethics relevant to the field of Psychology:

1. Be able to describe the major concepts, language, and major theories of the disciplines relevant to psychology.
2. Be able to critically evaluate and analyze theoretical perspectives, historical trends and empirical findings that address psychology.
3. Be able to describe and apply ethical principles pertaining to all aspects of the disciplines relevant to psychology.

Program Goal Two

³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø will be able to demonstrate skills in communication, ethical behavior, complex cognitive processes relevant to the field of psychology:

1. Be able to design, conduct, and evaluate research that address questions relevant to forensic social science.
2. Demonstrate effective written and oral skills in various formats and for various purposes in forensic social science.
3. Practice ethical behavior in all aspects of the science and practice of psychology.
4. Use critical thinking effectively in evaluating information quality, recognizing thinking fallacies, and making connections between observations, facts, and theories of psychology.
5. Apply psychological skills to professional work, exhibit self-regulation, refine project management skills, enhance teamwork ability, and develop life direction in the area of psychology.
